God does not die on the day we cease to believe in a personal deity, but we die on the day when our lives cease to be illuminated by the steady radiance, renewed daily, of a wonder, the source of which is beyond all reason.

Playing the banjo to the Painted Desert, Arizona, 2022
These songs were written and recorded between 1997 and 1998. Many of them were created for a news program on CBC Television that hired me to write a song a week for thirty-five weeks during that time.
All the recordings were done at Audio Infinities in Courtenay BC. except Canadian Gold which was recorded live at the 1997 Provincial NDP Convention in Vancouver. I played all the instruments and programmed the drums. Two of the songs, King of Swing and Steroid to Heaven, were mixed by Paul Baker at Baker Street in Vancouver. I also want to thank Milo Yakibchuk, Mike Benn, James Mattila and Mike Sutcliffe for their help on various cuts.
